Maternal Child Health Member Advisory Council

We want to hear your voice.  Families are at the center of everything we do.  We believe the best way to care is to listen, learn, and take steps towards enhancing quality and service to our members.

To do this, we have established a Maternal Child Health (MCH) Member Advisory Council to provide us with insight and perspective on a wide range of issues, policies, processes, and patient-related communications brought to us as opportunities for improvement to the care or service we provide to our members and patients.

Member Advisory Councils are comprised of Kaiser Permanente members and community representatives who volunteer their time to share their experiences and perspective on the care and service delivered by Kaiser Permanente.

Goals of the MCH Patient Advisory Council

  • Ensure Patient and Family Centered Care principles are integrated into decision-making, policies, and processes
  • Align with regulatory guidelines and national healthcare best practices to ensure a culture of safety, quality, and service
  • Ensure the values of patients, families and multi-disciplinary healthcare teams are an integral component of the care experience
  • Close healthcare equity gaps

We Invite You to Join Our MCH Patient Advisory Council

We are looking for individuals who have had recent experiences in maternal and infant care to join our Maternal Child Health Member Advisory Council. As a Member Advisor for Maternal Child Health, you will:

  • Partner with Kaiser Permanente leaders, physicians, staff, members and families in the design and delivery of maternal and infant care
  • Make sure that the diverse voice of our members is front and center in all decisions

Meeting Frequency

The Maternal Child Health Member Advisory Council meets monthly for 1-2 hours with a minimum of 10 meetings per year.  The meetings will be both in-person or with virtual options.
