Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles receives the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Gold Award

Kaiser Permanente Earns Prestigious Real Estate Award for Its Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Facility

Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles was proud to receive the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Gold Award for its cutting-edge, 105,000 square-foot Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw medical office building on February 20, 2018. The building, which opened last September, is expected to receive LEED Platinum certification.

This award “showcases the biggest, best and most notable commercial real estate projects throughout Los Angeles,” according to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s website. The Gold award recognized Kaiser Permanente as the Developer; Turner Construction as the Builder; and HOK as the Architect.

The Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw building is a prime of example of how Kaiser Permanente is leading the way in health technology and care delivery innovation, while staying connected to the communities it serves. The building’s cutting-edge technologies create an intuitive, convenient, personalized experience for members. A highlight is the open, light-filled reception area, which offers a variety of comfortable lounge settings, a Thrive bar learning center, self-check-in kiosks, and features several pieces of vibrant art, which are all original pieces from local artists.

In addition to offering a full range of primary and specialty care services, the building also functions as a community center where meetings, performances and events planned by various organizations can take place, further strengthening the connection between the community and the facility.
