Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare Health Plan in California Receives Top 5-Star Rating for Quality and Service
For the sixth consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare Health Plan in California has again received the highest overall rating for care quality and service, earning 5 out of 5 stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for 2017.
In Southern California, for the second year, Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare Plan received a 5 out of 5 overall rating for consumer experience, prevention services and clinical treatment outcomes, placing it in the top 3 percent of the 338 Medicare plans rated by the NCQA across the country.
This year, Kaiser Permanente in Southern California earned top scores in 10 clinical care categories, including asthma/lung disease care, cancer screening, diabetes care, health care, maternity care, testing causes for back pain, and "getting the right care" for both adults and children.
For the second straight year, all 14 Kaiser Permanente Southern California hospitals have again received an “A” grade from The Leapfrog Group in the spring 2015 Hospital Safety Score for their dedication to patient safety.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has recognized Kaiser Permanente Southern California with its inaugural Multicultural Health Care Distinction. Our Georgia Region also earned the distinction. The new award recognizes health care organizations for their ability to address the health care needs of minority populations through the use of evidence-based requirements.
Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center has been honored with the 2012 "Partner for Change" Award from Practice Greenhealth, a national membership organization for health care facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations.
