Wendy Drain, MS, LCGC

My Background

I was born and raised in Orange County, California.

Education & Experience

I moved to the Inland Empire to go to UC Riverside and graduated with a degree in biology in 1995.  I graduated from the genetic counseling program at California State University, Northridge, earning a master’s degree in genetic counseling in 1997.

After graduation, I moved back to Orange County and started my career working at Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC) and St. Joseph Hospital working both in the prenatal clinic as well as the pediatric clinic.  During this time I also worked with the CHOC cleft/craniofacial team and the Muscular Dystrophy clinic.   After 4 years I moved back to the Inland Empire and worked at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Loma Linda University Medical Center seeing patients in both the pediatric and prenatal clinics.

About My Practice

I started with Kaiser Permanente in 2006 and I truly enjoy working in an integrated health care system where I am able to provide my patients with the best possible care.

How I Thrive

I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, traveling, and serving as an adult leader for my sons’ Boy Scout troop.
