My Background
I was born in China and grew up in Greater Los Angeles.
Education & Experience
I received my undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College in Biological Sciences. Before delving into the genetic counseling field, I spent three years working as a clinical research coordinator in pediatric gastroenterology studying the gut microbiome. During that time, I discovered genetic counseling and was thrilled to have the opportunity to dovetail my genetics research background with a desire to meaningfully impact patients' lives. I then went on to obtain my master's degree in genetic counseling from the Boston University Genetic Counseling Program.
About My Practice
I joined Kaiser Permanente as a genetic counselor in 2022. Before joining the clinical genetics team in South Bay, I worked as a genetic counselor at UTHealth, Houston serving the bleeding disorders community and neurogenetics patients. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our community as part of an amazing and dedicated team.
How I Thrive
In my free time, I enjoy exploring eateries, hiking, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
