HIV Care

HIV Care and Prevention

The HIV Care and Prevention Program at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco is a multidisciplinary specialty program within the Department of Adult and Family Medicine. Comprehensive care is provided by HIV specialist physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, benefit coordinators, health educator and registered dietitian. Our Clinical Trials Unit offers cutting-edge HIV treatment and prevention research studies for members who are interested.

Members living with HIV who are new to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco may contact the HIV program at 415-833-4638 to schedule an intake appointment. No referral is needed. You will be matched with an HIV provider who will address your complete primary care needs as well as your HIV treatment.

Members interested in pursuing PREP (HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) or new members wishing to continue their PREP treatment may contact the PREP line at 415-833-7737 to schedule a consult appointment. No referral is needed.

To complement our in-person office appointments, we are pleased to offer various telehealth options for your ease and convenience. These include Video Visits and Telephone Appointments with your providers.
