After-hours Care for Adult

The After Hours Care clinic is an appointment-only clinic for adults in the Department of Medicine after office hours (5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) and Weekend Primary Care clinic.

Our clinic is staffed by physicians from our Medicine Department. Appointment and advice can be made by calling 650-742-2100.

What is an urgent symptom?

An urgent care need is one that requires prompt medical attention, usually within 24 to 48 hours, but is not an emergency medical condition. Examples of urgent care situations include:

  • sore throats and upper respiratory symptoms
  • earaches
  • coughs
  • backaches
  • frequent urination or burning sensation when urinating
