Pediatric Centering
Offered by our Pediatrics Department, this is a unique method of family-centered well care for children from birth to 2 years of age. In this model of care, a group of up to 8 parents and their infants meet 8 times with the same pediatrician and a health educator during the first 2 years of their child’s life. Pediatric Centering families meet in a 2-hour group setting, while also meeting one-on-one with their pediatrician and receiving age-appropriate vaccines. In Pediatric Centering, you will:
- Learn more about infant feeding, developmental milestones, and safety
- Be offered extra breastfeeding support
- Spend personalized time with your pediatrician
- Receive support from other new parents whose infants are the same age as yours
