Managing Emotions

Program sessions offered on the Microsoft TEAMS Virtual Platform, but in-person groups are available at our Roseville campus.

Managing Emotions is an introduction to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or DBT, skills that are designed to help patients more effectively manage their new lives of chemical and emotional sobriety. Recovery is about change and DBT skills can help people become more adept in tolerating stress, managing emotions, and getting along more harmoniously with the world around them. This group focuses on managing emotions by obtaining the DBT skills rather than focusing on abstinence-only.

This skills class is offered to patients already engaged in treatment with our service. It is not a stand-alone program.
