Dual Diagnosis Intensive Out-Patient Program (DDIOP)

Important Program Information:

DDIOP is transitioning to IN PERSON programming effective April 17, 2023.

DDIOP is a short-term intensive outpatient treatment program for adults with both mental health and substance use disorders.

The treatment goals include:

  • Abstinence from drug and alcohol use
  • Management and stabilization of mental health symptoms
  • Development of healthy life coping skills

Program Commitments:

  • Participants agree to participate in a group formatted program and individual sessions with their therapist.
  • Participants agree to participate in process group.
  • Participants agree to random Urine Drug Screens. You are asked to provide a sample at any Kaiser Permanente lab within 24 hours of testing being announced in group.

Each participant in the program will work with a therapist who will assist in the development of a personalized treatment plan. The therapist and participant will review past events leading up to their current situation and develop a recovery plan.

Participants may be evaluated and medically treated by the program psychiatrist to support their recovery plan.

New skills and behaviors can often be a struggle to learn, especially during emotionally hard times. However, an open attitude and willingness to work on changing yourself will increase your chance of success in this program. We are committed to helping you achieve your goals.

Due to the nature of this program, participants may need a medical leave of absence for the 4 weeks they are engaged in treatment. This program is eligible for FMLA leave, or disability insurance claims (if provided by your employer). Please refer to “Process for Obtaining SDI”.
