Family doctors are specialists in YOU.
At Kaiser Permanente, you have your choice of many great doctors to be your primary care physician. Why see a different doctor from the one your spouse, partner or child sees? When you all choose the same primary care physician specializing in family medicine, your doctor can build a relationship with your whole family – focusing on the total health of each one of you. It is the special joy of family medicine physicians to take care of you throughout your life. Whether you are 8 or 80, whether you need a Pap smear or a camp physical, diabetic care, or help with breast feeding, your family doctor can be there for you.
What is Family Medicine?
You can choose a Family Medicine physician as your personal care provider. Your Family Medicine physicians aim to provide personal, comprehensive, and continuing care for the entire family. Our physicians have received special training in caring for newborns, children, adults and seniors. We offer quality care for an individual or for the whole family, serving all ages and addressing all types of healthcare concerns. This is now an option available to all of our members in Santa Clara. Our goal is to provide the quality care and services that you expect and deserve from us.
Our physicians are here for you
Family medicine is a primary care medicine specialty that provides continuing, comprehensive health care to patients of all ages and sexes including care of acute and chronic illnesses, emergency care, women’s health care, preventative care, and health education services. It is based on knowledge of the patient in the context of the family and the community, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion.
Family doctors are helping us to meet our goal of providing you with the care you need, when you need it, by expanding the basket of services that you and your family can get from your primary physician. If you are thinking about choosing a new doctor, consider family medicine!
