Community Resources
Community support groups have been demonstrated to be effective in supporting individuals with substance use disorders (Donovan, Ingalsbe, Benbow, & Daley, 2013). Specifically, community support groups are associated with greater likelihood of abstinence from all mood/mind-altering substances, reducing the likelihood of relapse, and improved overall functioning. At Santa Clara AMRS, we firmly believe in the importance of building recovery support through a community support group.
