Oncology/Infusion

Our Oncology/Hematology department is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our members diagnosed and living with cancer and blood disorders. We understand that a diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming, which is why your Kaiser Permanente care team is dedicated to your quality of care. Our oncology/hematology team consists of specialized healthcare professionals who are committed to improving the survival of our members and increasing their quality of life.

What to Expect

Since our department is referral-based, you will begin with a referral by either your primary care physician or a specialist in your care. Your first appointment with our department will be with one of our nurse navigators or assistants. They will review your individual case and determine if any further work-up (labs, imaging, pathology) would be helpful to determine the best treatment for you. They will then arrange an appointment with one of our subspecialized oncologists/hematologists, with expertise in your type of cancer. Our oncologists/hematologists will then work with you to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Your entire care team is here to assist you with coordination through a multi-disciplinary and streamlined plan while incorporating both a patient and family-centered approach. Thank you for trusting Kaiser Permanente with your care.
