Whole Wheat Roti

Serves: 4-5 (one roti per serving)


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup water

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine whole wheat flour and water in a mixing bowl and mix together.
  2. Knead dough by hand or using a food processor. May adjust water and flour depending on consistency of dough. Should be soft but not sticky.
  3. Divide into 4-5 balls.
  4. Flatten balls and roll out 2-3 mm thick and round rotis with a rolling pin.
  5. Place on heated flat pan for roughly 30 seconds.
  6. Cook the other side for another 30 seconds.
  7. When roti bubbles, place directly on flame or on a grill to fluff up each side.
