Kale Chips and Crispy Chickpeas
Serves: 4
INGREDIENTS
Kale Chips
- 1 large bunch Kale
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Olive oil
Crispy Chickpeas
- 1 can ( 15 oz ) Garbanzo beans/Chickpeas
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1 pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Olive oil
Optional Seasonings:
- Cumin powder, garlic powder, Magic Masala powder (see recipe), garam masala, zaatar, other spices or herbs of your choice
DIRECTIONS
Kale Chips
- Preheat oven to 325 F
- Cut or tear Kale into bite size pieces
- Coat with a thin layer of Olive oil and season with salt and black pepper
- Bake at 325 F for 10-15 minutes or until crispy, moving it around at 8 minutes
Crispy Chickpeas
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Drain chickpeas from water and pat dry.
- Toss with olive oil and salt.
- Bake at 400 for 30-40 minutes, checking every 10 min to turn and check to make sure when nicely brown and crispy.
