Kale Chips and Crispy Chickpeas

Serves: 4


INGREDIENTS

Kale Chips

  • 1 large bunch Kale
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

Crispy Chickpeas

  • 1 can ( 15 oz ) Garbanzo beans/Chickpeas
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

Optional Seasonings:

  • Cumin powder, garlic powder, Magic Masala powder (see recipe), garam masala, zaatar, other spices or herbs of your choice

DIRECTIONS

Kale Chips

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F
  2. Cut or tear Kale into bite size pieces
  3. Coat with a thin layer of Olive oil and season with salt and black pepper
  4. Bake at 325 F for 10-15 minutes or until crispy, moving it around at 8 minutes

Crispy Chickpeas

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Drain chickpeas from water and pat dry.
  3. Toss with olive oil and salt.
  4. Bake at 400 for 30-40 minutes, checking every 10 min to turn and check to make sure when nicely brown and crispy.
