Golden Turmeric Oatmal

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rolled oats or overnight soaked steel cut oats
- 2.5 cups of unsweetened plant-based milk
- 0.5 tsp of ground cardamom
- 0.5 tsp powdered turmericrecipe – Golden Tumeric Oatmeal
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp of ginger powder
- 1-2 tsp of flax seeds
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- Maple syrup or date paste to taste
- Toppings: slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds, finely chopped apple, banana slices, strawberries, raspberries
DIRECTIONS
- Add all ingredients to a pan except sweetener and gently bring mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat until just simmering and continue to cook for about 10 minutes stirring frequently until mixture has thickened.
- Add ¼ tsp of maple syrup to the oatmeal.
- Add your favorite toppings and enjoy.
