Apple Cinnamon Nutty Toast

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 slice whole grain bread (at least 3-5 grams of fiber/serving)
  • 1 Tablespoon nut butter(cashew, almond, peanut butter or tahini)
  • ½ an apple (also can use pears, bananas, berries, etc)
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon honey
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon sesame seeds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Toast bread in toaster oven or oven at broil.
  2. Slice apple (or fruit of choice) into thin slices.
  3. Spread nut butter on toasted bread.Top with apple or fruit slices. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Drizzle with honey and sesame seeds (optional).
