Anaheim & Irvine Medical Centers Receive Fall 2022 Leapfrog "A" Hospital Safety Grade

Kaiser Permanente Anaheim and Irvine medical centers received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for fall 2022. This national distinction recognizes these two medical centers’ achievements in protecting patients from preventable harm and error in the hospital. Both Anaheim and Irvine hospitals have received straight A's since 2012.

American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award

Kaiser Permanente Orange County has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This award recognizes KPOC's commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring that our stroke patients receive treatment that meets nationally accepted, evidence-based standards and recommendations. In addition, KPOC hospitals received Stroke Elite Honor Roll and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

Santa Ana Medical Offices Earns Silver Garfield Distinction Award

The Santa Ana Medical Offices earned Kaiser Permanente's Silver Garfield Distinction Award. Named for Kaiser Permanente co-founder, Dr. Sidney Garfield whose commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and affordability laid the foundation for Permanente Medicine, the Garfield Distinction was developed in 2018 to elevate care delivery and quality outcomes for medical offices' operations. The Garfield Distinction uses evidence-based performance criteria drawn from multiple national guidelines to define levels of operational excellence. Serving as a guide for continuous improvement, the criteria form the basis for defining and assessing operations.

Magnet® Recognition

Kaiser Permanente Anaheim Medical Center joins Irvine Medical Center in receiving Magnet® Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The honor was bestowed on the Orange County facilities in recognition of its nursing professionalism, teamwork, and superior patient care.

Healthgrades 2021 America's 100 Best Hospitals

Nine Kaiser Permanente medical centers including Anaheim, Irvine, Baldwin Park, Woodland Hills in Southern California are among the top 100 in the nation for year-over-year clinical outcomes excellence, according to a new report from Healthgrades. The top 100 hospitals represent the top 2% in the nation. The annual report benchmarks nearly 4,500 U.S. hospitals using data from 2017-2019 and based on 32 common inpatient conditions and procedures such as prostate surgeries and joint replacement procedures
