Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center Ranks Among the Best in the State by U. S. News & World Report
Los Angeles Medical Center Joins 10 Kaiser Permanente Southern California Hospitals Identified Among Top Hospitals in the State
PASADENA, Calif. — July 27, 2021 — U.S. News and & World Report today announced that Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center is among 11 Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Southern California ranked as being among the best in California based on its 2021-22 Best Hospitals Rankings/Ratings report.
Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center ranked as the state’s 30th top hospital. This recognition is significant in that more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide were evaluated in the magazine’s 32nd annual evaluation.
The Medical Center ranked 30th in the state in overall care, and 17th in the Los Angeles Metro Area. Among hospitals nationwide, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center was ranked “high performing” for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Geriatrics, three highly specialized areas, and “high performing” in the following 9 common adult procedures and conditions: Aortic Valve Surgery, Diabetes, Heart Attack, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Kidney Failure, Knee Replacement, Pneumonia and Stroke.

In addition to the Los Angeles Medical Center, the following Kaiser Permanente hospitals in the Southern California Region ranked among California’s top hospitals as follows:
- 18th (tied): Anaheim and Irvine medical centers.
- 24th (tied): Fontana, Ontario, San Diego Zion and San Diego medical centers.
- 42nd (tied): Downey Medical Center.
- 50th (tied): Baldwin Park, South Bay medical centers.
- 56th (tied): Woodland Hills Medical Center.
