Welcome to the Kaiser Permanente On-the-Job Occupational Medicine. Our goal is to help you through the workers’ compensation process and give you the care you need to get better soon. Our full-time doctors and friendly staff focus on treating and evaluating work-related injuries, and they can help you with any questions you may have.
What is KPOJ?
Kaiser Permanente On the Job provides specialized medical care for the treatment of work-related injuries along with a range of occupational health and safety services including employment-related health screenings and immunizations.
These services can be provided at a network of 26 dedicated occupational medicine clinics throughout Southern California. These clinics are staffed with physicians who are board-certified in occupational medicine or related specialties and are experts in the treatment of and reporting on work-related injuries in both the California State and Federal workers’ compensation systems. These physicians are supported by case managers who coordinate clinical services with employers, injured workers and claims organizations to expedite treatment and recovery. Based on the severity of the injury and related treatment- - and the approval of your employer - these services can also be provided virtually by use of applications on your personal mobile devices
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES
Kaiser Permanente offers Occupational Health Care Services – both injury care for workers’ compensation claims and employment-related screening, surveillance, and immunization – through its network of Kaiser Permanente On-the-Job clinics.
Kaiser Permanente On the Job provides specialized medical care for the treatment of work-related injuries along with a range of occupational health and safety services including employment-related health screenings and immunizations. Both injury care and Occupational Health and Safety Services are available to employees regardless of Kaiser Permanente Health Plan membership.
These services are provided through a California statewide network of 50 dedicated occupational medicine clinics, 26 of them scattered throughout Southern California. These clinics are staffed with physicians who are board-certified in occupational medicine or related specialties and who are experts in the treatment of and reporting on work-related injuries in both the California State and Federal workers’ compensation systems. These physicians are supported by case managers who coordinate clinical services with employers, injured workers and claims organizations to expedite medical treatment and support the injured worker’s recovery and return to work.
Based on the severity of the injury and related treatment -- and the approval of your employer – many physician visits services can also be provided virtually by use of an application on your personal mobile device.
INJURY CARE
All employees — even those who aren’t Kaiser Permanente members — can get treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses through Kaiser Permanente On-the-Job, our occupational health program.
Our centers provide:
- specialized care for work-related injuries
- skilled physicians who are board certified or board eligible in occupational medicine or a related specialty
- urgent and after-hours care available 24 hours a day, every day at many locations
- coordinated clinical services, including physical therapy, radiology, specialty care, and pharmacy
- communication with injured workers. employers, case managers and payers
Many of our dedicated occupational health centers are located on Kaiser Permanente hospital campuses, so it’s easy for patients to take care of their health needs in one trip.
