Mobile Health Vehicle

Kaiser Permanente’s mobile health vehicle is making health calls

Kaiser Permanente’s new mobile health vehicle is making weekly stops in the communities of Delano, Taft and Tehachapi. Kaiser Permanente members can receive a range of primary care services from a Kaiser Permanente physician. And because the mobile health vehicle is connected to our electronic health record system, members will get the same continuity of care they receive in Kaiser Permanente facilities.

Services available

  • Routine office visits
  • Immunizations
  • Ordering prescriptions
  • Ordering lab tests
  • Blood pressure, cholesterol, and body mass index screenings
  • Help for managing conditions like diabetes and asthma

“We are very excited about our mobile health vehicle,” says Julia Bae, MD, area medical director for Kern County. “This vehicle will make it easier for our members and their families in outlying communities to manage their health close to where they live and work. Plus with our focus on preventative care, they’ll be better equipped to keep chronic conditions, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease from developing, so they can maintain better health.”
