Sacramento Violence Intervention Program (SVIP)

In 2010, the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Trauma Department launched the Sacramento Violence Intervention Program (SVIP), the first hospital bedside youth violence intervention program based in the Sacramento region. In cooperation with WellSpace Health, Inc., a community health center, this program provides immediate intervention services to young people age 15 to 26 who are treated at the medical center for violent injuries. Intervention specialists provide comprehensive case management and follow-up services to injured youths for at least six months, helping them make positive life changes. View more information on the Sacramento Violence Intervention Program.
