About Rehabilitation Services

The Rehabilitation Services Department at South Sacramento is located in the D. B. Moore Building. We provide the full spectrum of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services for both our adults and pediatrics members. Our department has board certified specialists in the areas of Orthopedic, Neurologic, Pediatric and Geriatric rehabilitation along with Women’s Health. We also have staff members with certification as specialists in Swallowing, Lymphedema, Hand Therapy as well as Sports Rehabilitation.

We are a referral only department.

Who are Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists?

We are licensed healthcare professionals who work closely with your medical provider to restore your function, movement and communication. We will provide you with tools to assist in managing your problem and promote your optimal health and function.

What Is My Role in Therapy?

When you start therapy you are entering into a partnership requiring your active participation. Successful rehabilitation is dependent upon you. An individual program of home exercises will always be a major part of your program.

What Should I Expect from Therapy?

Your therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan and goals. Education and home exercise programs are key components of our treatment. Our goal is to give you the skills needed to maintain or improve your health and function.
