The vision of the Department of Optometry remains one of commitment to provide excellent care, reduce touch points and to streamline our operations to continue to make Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento the viable provider of choice in health care. With our excellent access, we are able to serve our members on the same day they request to be seen: a big satisfier. By reducing touch points, and completing all necessary testing on the same day (as possible), our members will experience outstanding and efficient service.

The Department of Optometry provides a full array of the eye services with the latest state-of-the-art equipment. Our Optometrists are Board Certified, and our department has a staff of Certified Optometric Technicians. Our department provides refractions for eye-glass prescriptions, contact lens fitting, and treatment for red-eye along with glaucoma screening; and low-vision and pediatric eye care.

Patients may schedule directly with the Department, and do not require a referral from their Primary Care doctor. We look forward to serving you for all of your eye care needs.
