Welcome to The Department of Neurology

As board certified neurologists we place great emphasis on a good relationship with our patients. We aim to educate our patients about their neurologic conditions. While we are familiar with your medical history provided by your referring physician and on electronic medical record, we will often ask for additional information in order to have a better understanding of your neurologic condition. In addition to our careful interview and examination, sometimes we need to use radiologic, blood, electrodiagnostic, spinal tap or other tests, to determine if a neurologic condition exists. We will educate our patients on when and how to use the best treatments to stabilize their neurologic conditions or to minimize future flare-ups. We will work with you and your primary care providers towards the highest level of neurologic care for you.

We see adult and some teenage patients only by referral from other physicians or nurse practitioners. Although we see patients for a number of neurologic symptoms and problems, we emphasize neurologic follow-up for the following conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, Movement Disorders (such as Parkinson’s Disease), Seizure Disorders, and Neuromuscular Diseases (e.g., amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophy). We have close contact with primary care providers to assist in the diagnosis and management of common neurologic disorders, and emergency consultation if needed.
