The Santa Rosa Mercury Way Medical Office was recently selected as a Pacific Region Leadership Award recipient by the U.S. Green Building Council. The USGBC Leadership Awards recognize the exemplary leadership of individuals and organizations contributing to the creation of sustainable, healthier, equitable and resilient buildings, cities and communities. The Pacific region includes California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska.
“Only with the strong partnership of the Santa Rosa leadership team were we able to push the boundaries of convention and successfully achieve the vision of a net-zero medical office,” says Jodie Clay, Team Manager, NFS Capital Projects.
Jodie called the honor an “exceptional testament” to KP’s commitment to its members, staff, communities, and the planet.
“This medical office has been a technical wonder, and a technical challenge,” she says. She praised the “resilience, persistence, and advocacy” of all those involved, adding: “I am proud of Marin Sonoma for taking the brave first step at KP.”
