The Chronic Pain Management Program is an innovative, multidisciplinary program developed to help and support Kaiser Permanente members who live with chronic pain. Our goal is to teach self-care tools to alleviate suffering, enhance quality of life and promote healing through an integrated wellness model. Our commitment is to offer compassionate care in a timely fashion.
Acupuncture is a possible therapy provided for members having MUSCULOSKELETAL PAIN OF AT LEAST 3 MONTHS DURATION that has not resolved by other means. It is also used to address acute shingles, nausea from chemotherapy and occurring during pregnancy.
Acupuncture can promote natural healing, relieve pain, reestablish a free flow of energy, stimulate the immune system, improve energy and help to achieve biochemical balance.
