Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center External Reporting Data
Our Sacramento Comprehensive Stroke Center program is proud to provide complex specialized stroke care to our community. Approximately 800,000 Americans have a stroke each year. One in every 5 women and 1 in every 6 men are affected by stroke. Time is brain. For every minute delayed in treating acute stroke symptoms, a patient loses 1.9 million brain cells, leading to irreversible brain damage, and permanent physical disability. Our specialized doctors, nurses, technologists, and therapists are committed to providing rapid, state-of-the-art procedures to reduce the incidence of brain damage and permanent disability.
