Exercises after surgery

After surgery, it is important to do your exercises often during the day to improve your motion, improve your strength, and control your pain and swelling.

It is normal to experience some discomfort or pain while doing your exercises.  The goal is to keep the discomfort to a tolerable level so that you can perform your exercises several times per day.

It is important that the amount of discomfort you are feeling decreases shortly after you have completed the exercises.
