Alzheimer’s Association leads the charge in Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Its mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Valley Caregiver Resource Center

Valley Caregiver Resource Center provides seniors and their caregivers throughout the Central Valley with a wide array of services. Serving Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Stanislaus, Tulare and Tuolumne counties, VCRC is there to help you navigate the caregiving journey.

They know the aging process can be challenging. Many of their clients go to them with questions such as:

  • Where can I find reliable, safe and stimulating adult day care for someone suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s?
  • Who can help me evaluate assisted living facilities or advocate for someone in residential assisted living?
  • Where can I turn to for help in caring for my elderly parent?
  • How do I apply for Medicare or get help with understanding my insurance plan?
  • Who will help take care of me, the caregiver?

Fresno Madera Agency on Aging

The Agency on Aging has been connecting older adults to information, resources, and services since 1980. It was created through a collaboration between Fresno County, Madera County, and the City of Fresno. The Fresno Madera Agency on Aging is one of 33 area agencies on aging in the state.
