EKG (Electrocardiography)

An electrocardiogram (EKG) is a test that checks for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. An EKG translates the heart’s electrical activity into the line tracings on paper. You may need this test to check your heart’s electrical activity. The test can also check the health of your heart by helping to find the cause of unexplained chest pain or other symptoms of heart disease. This department requires a referral from your personal physician.
