Kaiser Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (KLIC)

KLIC is a clinical training program for third-year medical students from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) – one of the top rated medical schools in the country. KLIC represents a unique collaboration with medical students, patients and faculty to train excellent, patient-centered doctors. Eight UCSF students spend an entire year at Kaiser Permanente Oakland, training one-on-one with doctors from Anesthesia, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery, Dermatology and Urology.

KLIC students work closely with patients and faculty to provide comprehensive medical care over time and to gain insight into the patient’s experience of illness and physician practice within one integrated system.

For prospective UCSF applicants, please see our Residency website.
