These step-by-step instructions will help guide you on how to get set-up for your video visit using the Kaiser Permanente website on your laptop or desktop computer.

Equipment Needed to Join Your Video Visit:

  • A laptop or desktop computer
  • Google Chrome browser (for PC or Mac)
  • A wired or wireless internet connection

IMPORTANT: To join a video visit, your browser will need access to your computer’s camera and microphone. Accept any request from your browser to allow this access. The visit will not work without the use of your camera and microphone.

Step 1: 15 minutes before your appointment time, click on the link in your email appointment confirmation or go directly to: kp.org/mydoctor/video
Step 2: Click on the “Join your visit” button.
Step 3: Enter your kp.org username and password and press the “Sign In” button or, click on “Video Visit Temporary Access” if you don’t remember your kp.org username and password. If using Temporary Access, you will need to type in the patient’s last name, medical record number, and date of birth.

Step 4: Click the “Join your visit” button.
Step 5: Wait for your clinician to join and ensure you’ve accepted all requests to access your camera and microphone.
