- Please note that assistance from parent/caregiver will help make the study successful.
Depending on how the child does, parent may not get a restful sleep.
- Once the study begins, all electronics must be turned off for the duration of the study.
- The study will be approximately 9-10 hours long. Your Sleep Technician will wake you and your child up around 5:00am to remove all sensor, then you are free to leave the lab before 6:00am as the Sleep Lab closes. Be sure to gather all personal belongings prior to leaving.

What to Expect After the Study
- The sensors applied to your scalp/hair may leave behind residue. We recommend cleaning with warm water. Allow the water to rinse your scalp and body a few minutes before shampooing – this will help soften the paste and make it easier to wash out.
- Some patients may experience skin irritation from the removal of the sensors. If this occurs, keep the area clean and dry. Let your doctor know if it doesn’t go away after several days.
- A Physician specializing in Sleep Medicine will interpret the sleep study. Anticipate a phone call or secure message, within 14-21 business days to review their results.
