Welcome to Oakland Adult and Pediatric Urology Department
Oakland Urology Department provides the full gamut of general and specialized Urology medical and surgical care in almost all areas of Urology. Our regional specialty services include Pediatric Urology, Shock Wave Lithotripsy and Spina Bifida Clinic/Neuro-Urology.
In addition, Oakland Urologists have special interests in Urologic Oncology surgery (Prostate, Kidney, Testicular and Bladder Cancer) and laparoscopic surgery.
Our Strengths
Our department strives to provide the best Urologic care available anywhere. We have a team approach which includes our clerical staff, Telephone Advice Nurses, office nursing staff, Physicians Assistants, Managers and Urologists who take pride in their work. We all enjoy working together and we think we provide better care and service because we work as a team.
Our Shortcomings
Our tasks include care of elderly and cancer patients who often take a little more time as well as emergency urologic care and surgery. This makes our work days unpredictable. We frequently run late. Occasionally, we need to cancel appointments to accommodate urgent surgery for serious or life-threatening conditions. We sincerely apologize in advance for any inconvenience we cause you. The Best Times to Call for Routine Advice and Scheduling Assistance
Our phones are busiest during the early mornings and right after lunch. To avoid long telephone waits, the best times to call are 11 am to 12:30 pm and 2 to 4 pm.
