Care and Coverage Together
Makes Southern Colorado Healthier
Across Southern Colorado we strive to provide high-quality, hassle-free healthcare services to improve the health of our members. Care and coverage together helps our community thrive.
In the Spotlight
Kaiser Permanente Colorado, the state’s largest nonprofit health plan, has chosen the location for a new medical office building, centrally located in Colorado Springs. The Parkside Medical Offices at 215 Parkside Drive will provide convenient access to primary care, laboratory, pharmacy and routine medical imaging services, all under one roof.
Longtime Kaiser Permanente Colorado members, Jing and Peter Kerchner, were looking forward to the birth of their twins. Thirty seven weeks and five days into her pregnancy, Jing realized something was wrong. Fortunately, she called her doctor and her care team sprang into action. What could have been “a very tragic day” had a very happy ending.
Many of us spend most of our time at work sitting in our spongy desk chairs, in front of our glowing computer screens, typing away and not getting any exercise. It’s bad for our health. In fact, a recent study showed that sitting for more than six hours each day is as bad for us as smoking.
